Co-owner, SugarCane Producer & Financial and Administrative Manager – Alguimar           

As a member of the third generation of family-owned sugarcane farms in Colombia, Alejandra has 25 years of experience as the financial and administrative manager for the family business. She was also a consultant for the family liquid fertilizer company. During 14 years, Alejandra was a member of Procaña (Sugarcane growers association of Colombia) board of directors and 3 years in the Asobolo (Bolo River Basin Association) board. Previously, she worked in the construction area as a human resources manager, also in charge of the evaluation of opportunities in marketing strategies. Alejandra graduated from the University of Miami with a major in business management.

Maria Antonieta, a member of the third-generation owners of sugar cane farms in Colombia, has more than 20 years of experience in business consulting, sugar cane farm administration, corporate social responsibility, and consumer marketing. Maria is a board member of the family sugar business, and she has her own consulting and training firm in business strategy and sustainability, Avenzza. She developed social work for Microsoft focused on training and technical inclusion for underprivileged sectors, including rural areas in Colombia. She also worked as a business consultant at Accenture and Arthur Andersen and as a brand manager for Unilever Andina. Maria Antonieta has a double major in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems from Bradley University – USA, and a specialization in Corporate Social Responsibility from Tecnológico de Monterrey – Mexico.

Guido Mauricio was the President of Procaña's board of directors (Sugar cane growers association of Colombia) from 2008 to 2016 and vice-president from 1998 to 2008. He was also President of Fondo Cultiva. Guido has been a member of many organization's boards of directors in the agribusiness sector of Colombia, including Cenicaña the sugar cane research center, the National sugar price stabilization fund, and La Cabaña mill field committee among others. Additionally, Guido was a member of Bonsucro's board for 2 years. He is the third generation owner and production manager of the team that runs the family business, leading the transformation into a sustainable-organic business unit. As national recognition, he was awarded the Order to the Agricultural Merit in the grade of Knight by the Colombian minister of agriculture and Medal to the Civic Merit by the mayor of Cali-Colombia in 2013. Guido is an agricultural economist from Georgia University USA.
